Supporting women.

Sustaining the Earth.

Together.

Superbloom Fund invests in women leading in climate mitigation and biodiversity conservation for a more peaceful, healthy and sustainable Earth.

We support women who protect the planet and uplift each other.

Superbloom Fund invests in women who are protecting forests, rivers, oceans and species; and advancing gender equity at the same time. Our grantees are scientists, storytellers and entrepreneurs who are saving biodiverse ecosystems across the globe.

Why?

Only 0.2% of all foundation funding focuses explicitly on women and the environment.

—Selibas (2022)

Almost two-thirds of that funding goes to agriculture

—“Our Voices, Our Environment” Global Greengrants Fund

Only 0.03% of all foundation funding focuses explicitly on women, conservation, and biodiversity.

—”Our Voices, Our Environment” Global Greengrants Fund

Only 4% of all climate funding goes toward nature conservation as a key solution.

—One Earth “Mind the Gap”

Most funding is for project-based work, leaving essential operational needs under resourced. Employee salaries, skill-building, training, and effective project management are chronically underfunded.

More than half of Indigenous, Afro-descendant, and local-community-led women’s organizations have no core funding.

—Rights and Resources and the Women in the Global South Alliance

“Philanthropy must stop treating gender equity as a niche cause. It is a central economic, educational, and public health imperative.”

— Inside Philanthropy, July 2025

Our Strategy

Superbloom Fund provides core funding to women climate and biodiversity leaders to help build a future in which women have equal financial support to steward healthy ecosystems globally.

With the right conditions in place, solutions don’t emerge one by one. They flourish in unison, driving powerful, cascading impact.

When women lead, the planet prospers.

  • The evidence is clear: Gender equity is essential to sustainable, resilient futures for both people and nature. When women leaders are empowered, then communities thrive and biodiversity, forests, rivers, and oceans are better protected.

  • When women are supported, the benefits ripple—reducing poverty, improving health and education, strengthening economies, sustaining peace, and uplifting communities.

  • Evidence-based research demonstrates that women’s involvement in peace processes increases the likelihood of achieving peace. Women’s involvement also increases the likelihood that peace will last more than 15 years by 35%.

Join our joyful, purposeful community! We look forward to learning, sharing, and solving problems together, so that we can support women and nature.
