Roots of Gender Inequality

The root causes of gender inequalities include the exclusion of girls and women from education, land ownership, and lack of access to Sexual and Reproductive Health Services (defined by the World Health Organization as a wide range of healthcare services focused on the reproductive system and sexual well-being across all life stages). We support efforts to address the root causes of inequality that have rippling impacts for nature as well.
